Hi Eves,

I totally hear you! I rarely have the time (or motivation!) to just sit still for 20 minutes. I recently read that this is a hurdle for lots of people. So one way to overcome that is to start with just three minutes, then work up from there. And the advantage of three minutes is, it teaches you how to find calm quickly because in the "real world" we rarely have 20 minutes to get centered when something happens! :-D

Hi, I'm Aarti Shah's friend - love the site and think it's a great idea! Just wanted to let you know that I caught a spelling error on the 'about' page - ernest is earnest. The form on the 'what I offer' page isn't showing up for me as well but I'm not sure if that's a browser issue.

I know I’m jumping the gun here, but I just wanted to encourage you to nurse, as I’m sure you are already at least considering, once you give birth. It will both help you lose weight (I have lost 30 pounds since giving birth 6 days ago… mostly just water weight, but still) and will set your child up to help avoid diabetes, obesity, and a variety of other illnesses.

The other thing I have noticed is the purity of the hunger cycle of a newborn. She’s hungry, she eats, she’s satisfied, she stops. If only my relationship with food were so simple! Breastmilk is the perfect food for her and not only do I get to witness her grow on food I’ve made, it’s helping me make good eating choices.

Best wishes to you! I didn’t lose the weight I had wanted to on WW before the baby got here, but I’m already being healthier now that she’s here.

Yes, I agree that shivasna is an important part of yoga. This is the first ever time that I took an exercise class and actually relaxed. I even fell asleep twice.
Definitely recommend doing shivasna!

I would stick to mixing my protein powder with the milk. But don't give up on the protein powder. It's a highly beneficial nutritional source, great for weight loss, athletes, and anyone who wants to add some perfectly balanced nutrition to their diet. If formulated correctly protein powder is easy to digest so that it is easy to take advantage of metabolic windows (when your body is most receptive to muscle building and repair) when exercising and it's easy to pack with you if you are dieting and need a meal on the run.
