Yes, I agree that shivasna is an important part of yoga. This is the first ever time that I took an exercise class and actually relaxed. I even fell asleep twice.
Definitely recommend doing shivasna!

I would stick to mixing my protein powder with the milk. But don't give up on the protein powder. It's a highly beneficial nutritional source, great for weight loss, athletes, and anyone who wants to add some perfectly balanced nutrition to their diet. If formulated correctly protein powder is easy to digest so that it is easy to take advantage of metabolic windows (when your body is most receptive to muscle building and repair) when exercising and it's easy to pack with you if you are dieting and need a meal on the run.

Śavāsana शवासन Shavasana, Sarvasana, Mrtasana...
Shivasna... is my reason for doing yoga!!!

I would be highly disappointed if my class did not end up in this position. Even when I only get 10 minutes, I leave more relaxed than after a whole night of sleep at home. (I have 3 children in four activities, a full time job, and a traveling husband...not whining, just explaining...). BTW...this is also how I sell Yoga class to my friends who have never been! :0)

How awesome! I have found that if I get out of bed and get through the tough workouts, the really energizing ones help so very much.

I would love to see pics of Sophie and hear all about her, from one Dog Mommy to another.

Very well said. I can't promise that Northern California will have a consistent spring or summer - but there will be many more warm days.

Dear Eves,

I'm so sorry that you got so sick! I wish you a very speedy recovery! This is a lovely recipe though! I drink something similar to this when I am sick, but being the health-freak that I am, I add garlic as well.

It's also helpful to drink some turmeric tea when you are sick. It is very chalky and not pleasant tasting at all but - for me - worth the benefits.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

I just read your comment and laughed so hard! "...all of a sudden she was talking again!" As if I could ever stop (except for savasana!)! Ha ha ha ha ha!

Love to you both!

We also didn't refrigerate them before baking. I wonder if that's an important part - so that part of the first baking is just warming them back up again.
